The Hon. Daniel F. Link is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown on July 16, 2014, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Richard E. Mills.
Link earned a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then received a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2000.
Link began his legal career as a law clerk for the Office of the District Attorney of San Diego County in 2000. Then, in 2001, he joined the Office of the District Attorney as a deputy district attorney, a position he held until his appointment to the bench.
He has served as president of the San Diego County Bar Association.
His father, the Hon. Frederic L. Link, also serves on the Superior Court of San Diego County. They are the first father and son to concurrently serve on the Superior Court of San Diego County.
Link is registered as a Democrat.
