Judge Daniel A. Bernardin - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Daniel A. Bernardin is a judge for the Vicinage 4 Superior Court in Camden County in New Jersey. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Chris Christie in 2014 and reappointed for tenure in 2021.

While on the bench, Bernardin has held assignments in the Criminal Division (2014 to 2016), Civil Division (2016 to 2019, 2021 to present), and Family Division (2019 to 2021) in Camden County.

Prior to joining the bench, he was a sole practitioner in his own private practice, the Law Offices of Daniel A. Bernardin, where he had practiced since 2008. Before that, he was a partner at Brennan & Bernardin.

Bernardin received a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Dayton School of Law.

Bernardin also served as a municipal prosecutor in two townships and a municipal judge in six municipalities, including Haddonfield and Audubon. In addition, he was a former municipal judge in Cherry Hill and Camden.

He is registered as a Democrat.
