The Hon. Craig Phillips is a judge for the Superior Court of Kern County in California. He was elected to the bench in 2000.
Phillips earned a B.S. in mathematics from San Diego State University. He then completed a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Prior to his election to the bench, Phillips served as a deputy district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Kern County from 1983 to 2000. During his seventeen-year tenure there, he was assigned to the Homicide and Molestation Unit. He also helped establish the Auto Theft Unit.
He has been actively involved with the Kiwanis Club, the Youth Booster Club, and Shop with a Cop. He has also volunteered as a Salvation Army bell ringer as well as a T-ball and soccer coach.
