The Hon. Craig E. Arthur is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was appointed by former Governor Jerry Brown on November 12, 2014, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Craig Robinson.
Arthur attended Orange Coast College, where he completed an A.A. He continued his studies at California State University, Long Beach, earning a B.A. He then received a J.D. from Western State University College of Law.
Arthur began his legal career as a deputy public defender with the Office of the Public Defender of Orange County in 1989. One year later, he joined the Law Office of Harold LaFlamme as an associate, a position he held until 2002. Between 1999 and 2005, Arthur also worked as an attorney in his own private practice. Then, in 2005, he was appointed as a commissioner to the Superior Court of Orange County.
He was a resident of Tustin, California at the time of his appointment to the bench.
He is registered to vote as a Democrat.
