The Hon. Clyde E. Wolfe (deceased) served as a judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Wolfe was elected to the bench in 2006 and re-elected without opposition in 2012 and 2018. He passed away on October 31, 2018.
The 7th Judicial Circuit encompasses Flagler County, Putnam County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County. Wolfe held assignments in St. Johns County and Putnam County, presiding over cases in the Family Division and the Criminal Division.
Wolfe earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida in 1975. He then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 1980.
After graduating from law school, Wolfe began his legal career as an assistant public defender in the Office of the Public Defender for the 9th Judicial Circuit. Later, he relocated to St. Augustine, where he worked as a criminal defense attorney, general magistrate, and child support enforcement hearing officer.
Wolfe was born in St. Augustine, Florida, and graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1971. He was an active member of St. Augustine Shores United Methodist Church, where he served in the Chancel Choir. He was also an assistant scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America.
