The Hon. Christina L. Hill is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2005. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of Phillip Argento.
She is a registered Democrat.
Judge Hill received her B.A. from George Washington University in 1973. She went on to earn her J.D. from Southwestern University Law School in 1979.
Before returning to Los Angeles to attend law school, Hill worked in the cities of Washington D.C. and New York as a legal assistant. After graduating from law school, she joined the law firm of Randolph and Levanas in 1980 as an associate. In 1981 Hill left the firm to become a sole practitioner. After six years in private practice, she joined the Trial Counsel of the State Bar of California as a trial lawyer and staff attorney in 1987. Judge Hill became a part-time referee for the Los Angeles Superior Courts Eastlake Juvenile Court in 1991 and became a full-time referee for the court in 1995.
In 1998 she was elevated to the role of court commissioner and remained in that position until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2005.
