Biography

The Hon. Charles F. Eick is a U.S. Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division. He was appointed to the District Court in 1988.

Judge Eick received his B.A. from Tulane University in 1975. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1978.

Eick began his legal career as an associate at the law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg, and Knupp LLP in 1978. He was named a partner of the firm in 1984 and would remain in that capacity until his appointment to the District Court in 1988.

Eick also served as a judge pro tem for the Los Angeles Municipal Court.
