The Hon. Charles E. Wilson II is a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown on July 16, 2014, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Diane M. Northway.
Wilson earned a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then completed an M.B.A. and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 2002.
He began his legal career as an associate at Phillips, Spallas & Fotouhi in 2003. The following year, he moved to Gordon & Rees, where he worked as a litigation associate.
Then, in 2007, he left the private sector to join the Office of the District Attorney of Alameda County as a deputy district attorney. He held this position until his appointment to the bench.
Wilson was raised in East Palo Alto, California.
He is registered as a Democrat.
