Hon. Carrie Beavers Markham is a judge for the Coweta County Probate Court in Georgia. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Mary Cranford in January 2020.
Beavers Markham first joined the probate bench as an associate judge after receiving an appointment to the position by Judge Cranford in January 2019.
Prior to joining the judiciary, she had practiced as an attorney at the Newnan law firm of Rosenzweig, Jones, Horne & Griffis for ten years (2009 to 2019). At the firm, Beavers Markham handled civil litigation matters and also served as a Guardian ad Litem and court-appointed attorney for the Probate Court.
Before her position there, she spent four years as an attorney at Alston & Bird in Atlanta.
Beavers Markham received a B.A. from Samford University in 2001. She went on to complete a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in 2005. While a law student, Beavers Markham was Editor of the Mercer Law Review.
She was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia, and is a graduate of Newnan High School. Growing up, Beavers Markham spent a good portion of her childhood at the Arnall Grocery Company, a small business owned by her family.
A married mother of two, she is a sustainer in the Newnan Junior Service League and a graduate of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce Leadership Coweta program. Beavers Markham is also an active member of Central Baptist Church.
