The Hon. Carol Rose is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was elected to the bench on June 3, 2014.
Judge Rose graduated summa cum laude with her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She began law school at Western New England Law School and then transferred to Stanford Law School where she earned her J.D. in 1977.
During law school, Judge Rose clerked for the Equal Rights Advocates in San Francisco. After graduating from law school, Rose joined the law firm of Mitchell Silberberg. In 1979 she joined the law firm of Alschuler, Grossman, and Pines as a civil litigator. Then in 1980, Judge Rose became a deputy city attorney for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. She was with the City Attorney's Office for five years before joining the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in 1986 as a deputy district attorney. She remained with the D.A.'s office until she was elected to the Superior Court in 2014.
Judge Rose has taught as an adjunct professor for the University of California, Los Angeles as well as the Loyola Law School.
