The Hon. Carol A. Hanna (Ret.) served as a judge for the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. Hanna was elected to the bench on November 4, 2003. She retired on June 6, 2016.
Prior to her election, Hanna was a partner at Hanna & Hanna, a position she held since 1987. She also spent time as a staff attorney for the Indiana County Domestic Relations Office (2000 to 2003), an assistant district attorney for the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office (1991 to 2000), and a Child Custody Mediator (1992 to 2000) and a Juvenile Court Master (2001 to 2003) for the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas.
Hanna earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1982.
Her memberships have included the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Indiana County Bar Association, and the Domestic Relations Association of Pennsylvania. She also sat on the Juvenile Court Judges Commission and the Pennsylvania State Children’s Roundtable.
She is registered as a Democrat.
