The Hon. Bradley A. Weinreb is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He was elected to the bench on November 4, 2014.
Weinreb earned a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. He then received a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1991.
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Weinreb served as a deputy attorney general for the Office of the Attorney General of the State of California. Over the course of his twenty-five-year tenure there, he became the Attorney General’s expert on “Jessica’s Law” and “Marsy’s Law” (Prop. 9), teaching law enforcement officers and prosecutors about the rights of crime victims.
He has served on the board of the San Diego Animal Support Foundation, the John Brockington Foundation, and the Richard Dreyfuss Initiative.
Weinreb was raised in Plano, Texas. As a teenager, he was active in the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization as well as United Synagogue Youth.
