The Hon. B.E. Roberts, III is a judge for the Hall County State Court in Georgia. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Sonny Perdue on August 29, 2003.
Prior to his appointment, Roberts was a magistrate for the Hall County Magistrate Court, a position to which he was selected in 1996. He also spent time as the District Attorney for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office as well as an attorney at Thompson, Fox, Chandler & Homans.
Roberts earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University. He then completed a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law.
He is a veteran of the United States Navy. He joined in 1987, eventually retiring as Lieutenant Commander in 1997.
