The Hon. Anthony J. Mohr is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was originally appointed to the Municipal Court in 1994 by former Governor Pete Wilson. He was subsequently elevated to the Superior Court in 1997 by then-Governor Wilson.
Judge Mohr received his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1969 where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to earn his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1972.
Mohr spent his entire legal career in private practice.
A prolific writer, Judge Mohr has written several short stories that have appeared in various publications. He also co-authored two resource guides on the subject of paralegals and the role they play in the legal process. He has been a speaker for the American Conference Institute.
During his time on the Superior Court, Judge Mohr taught California Civil Procedure as an adjunct associate professor at Southwestern Law School starting in 2014.
Judge Mohr is a native of Los Angeles. His hobbies include hiking, sailing and horseback riding.
