Biography

The Hon. Anne-Christine Massullo is a judge for the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California. She was appointed by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on June 20, 2006, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge James L. Warren.


Massullo earned a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. She then received a J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1983.


Massullo began her legal career as an attorney with McCutcheon, Doyle, Brown, and Emerson in 1984. Three years later, she joined Jackson and Wallace, where she practiced until 1989. She then entered the public sector, serving as an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California. During her tenure there, she handled civil and criminal cases, specializing in white-collar prosecutions and securities fraud trials. Then, in 2006, she moved to the Office of the City Attorney of San Francisco as a deputy city attorney. She was tasked with leading the neighborhood and resident safety division.


Massullo is registered as a Republican.
