The Hon. Andrew E. Sweet is a judge for the Marin County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2009. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John Graham (Ret.).
He is a registered Democrat.
Judge Sweet received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Sweet had practiced as an attorney with the law firm Moscone, Emblidge, and Quadra from 2005 to 2009.
Before entering into private practice, he served as a deputy district attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney's Office for thirteen years beginning in 1992.
During his time on the Superior Court, Judge Sweet has presided over the Drug Court in Marin County.
