The Hon. Andre Manssourian is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was elected on June 8, 2010, filling a vacancy creating by the retirement of Judge Frank F. Fasel.
Manssourian earned a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1994. He then attended Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating with a J.D. in 1997.
He began his legal career in 1998. He worked as a private attorney in Orange County, specializing in criminal cases until 2000. He then served as a deputy district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Orange County. He was first assigned to the Juvenile Unit, where he handled court trials and hearings. He then moved to the Misdemeanor Trials Unit before advancing to the Felony Jury Trials Unit. In 2006 he was promoted to the Special Prosecutions Unit, where he handled high profile cases ranging from murder, human trafficking, and extortion, political corruption and bribery, as well as cases involving dignitaries and celebrities.
Manssourian is an Iranian-Armenian born in London, England. His parents were born and raised in Tehran, Iran, where he lived for the first few years of his life. He immigrated with his family to Los Angeles in 1977. He lives in Orange County with his wife and two daughters, both of whom have attended Ari Guiragos Minassian Armenian School.
