The Hon. Ana E. Estevez is a judge for the 251st District Court in Potter and Randall County, Texas. Estevez was elected to the bench in 2006. She currently serves as the Presiding Judge of the Ninth Administrative Judicial Region, a position to which she was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott in 2020.
Prior to her election, Estevez worked as an attorney in private practice.
Estevez earned a B.S. in psychology (1993) and an M.Ed. in education and curriculum (1994) from Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Then, in 1997, she completed a J.D. at Baylor Law School. As a law student, Estevez served as the Research and Topics Editor for the Baylor Law Review.
Her memberships have included the Amarillo Area Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee, the Texas Bar Foundation, the Administration of Rules of Evidence Committee, the Crime Victims Institute Advisory Council, and the Laura W. Bush Institute for Womens Health Community Advisory Committee. She has served as vice-chair of the Texas Pattern Jury Charge Oversight Committee as well as a board member of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, the Amarillo Zoo Friends, and the Amarillo Ronald McDonald House.
She is registered as a Republican.
