The Hon. Allen Joseph Webster, Jr. is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Gray Davis in 2001.
Judge Webster graduated from Pepperdine University with his B.S. in business administration in 1963. He went on to earn his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1971.
After graduating from law school Webster joined the English Square Law Center where he practiced as an associate for one year. In 1973 he became a partner for the law firm of Hairston, Webster, and Johnson. After practicing for the firm for twelve years, he entered into private practice in 1985 as a sole practitioner. Then in 1995 Judge Webster became a court commissioner for the Compton Municipal Court. He remained in that position until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2001.
During his time on the Superior Court, Judge Webster served as the assistant supervising judge for the South Central District.
Some of his memberships have included the John M. Langston Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the California Association of Black Lawyers.
In 2015 he was awarded the Difference Makers Award by the American Bar Association.
