Biography

The Hon. Joseph A. Santorelli is a justice for the Suffolk County Supreme Court in the Tenth Judicial District of New York. Santorelli was initially elected to the Suffolk County District Court in 1998. Then, in 2012, he was elected to the Suffolk County Supreme Court.

Santorelli earned a B.S. from St. John’s University. He then continued his studies at St. John’s University School of Law, where he completed a J.D. While completing his studies, Santorelli worked at LILCO as a power-plant mechanic and crane driver.

Prior to his election to the bench, Santorelli served as a law secretary and as a law clerk for the New York State Unified Court System.

He is registered as a Republican.
