The Hon Mark E. Saltarelli is a judge for the Tonawanda City Court in the Eighth Judicial District of New York. He was elected to the bench in 2016.
Saltarelli earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed a J.D. at Syracuse University College of Law in 1980.
He began his legal career as an associate at Cox, Barrell, Walsh, Roberts & Grace in 1980. Two years later, Saltarelli left the firm and joined Schnell & Salmon. He entered as an associate, eventually becoming a named partner in 1988.
Then, in 1989, Saltarelli started working as a partner at Saltarelli & Heim. He practiced there for the next four years before establishing his own private practice in 1993.
Saltarelli was appointed by the mayor of Tonawanda to serve as an acting judge for the Tonawanda City Court from 2008 to 2014.
His memberships have included the Kiwanis Club of the Tonawandas, the Knights of Columbus, the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Council, the St. Francis of Assisi School Board, the Tonawanda Club, the Riviera Theatre, Gateway Harbor, and the Franciscan Center in Buffalo.
