The Hon. Jennifer R. Sletvold is a judge for the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She was elected to the bench on November 5, 2013.
Sletvold presides over civil and criminal trials, and she is assigned as an associate judge of domestic relations and the Juvenile Court. She also sits on the Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Prior to her election, Sletvold worked as a partner at Lauer & Sletvold (2007 to 2013). Before that, she was a partner at Maloney, Danyi, Sletvold & O'Donnell (2000 to 2007) and an associate at Saul Ewing (1999 to 2000).
Sletvold earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from West Chester University in 1994. She then completed a J.D. at Penn State Dickinson Law in 1997. As a law student, Sletvold served as a law clerk to the Hon. George E. Hoffer of the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.
After graduating from law school, Sletvold began her legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Ronald D. Castille of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She served in that capacity until 1999, at which time she entered into private practice, specializing in complex commercial litigation.
She lectures in Contracts Law, Business Law, and Emergency Services Law at Northampton County Community College.
Her memberships have included the Board of Directors of Lehigh Valley Childcare, Inc. and the Bethlehem Township Zoning Board.
Sletvold resides in Bethlehem Township with her husband, Robert E. Sletvold, an attorney and a veteran of the United States Army.
