Hon. Herbert T. Wright, Jr. is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas. He was elected to the bench in 2008.
The 6th Judicial Circuit includes Perry and Pulaski Counties.
Prior to his election, Wright presided as a judge for the Wrightsville District Court for three years beginning in 2005. He was also the owner and partner of Wright & Van Noy (1997 to 2008).
Wright received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1986. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1989.
He was admitted to practice in Arkansas (1989), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (1991), Texas (1998), and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas (1989).
After graduating from law school, Wright began his legal career as a clerk for the Hon. Perry V. Whitmore with the 6th Judicial Circuit Court.
He is a past president of the Pulaski County Bar Foundation and a board member of the Pulaski County Bar Association.
Wright attended the Catholic High School for Boys.
