The Hon. Dodie A. Harman is a judge for the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County in California. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Gray Davis in 2002, filling a newly created position.
Harman earned an A.A. from Moorpark College in 1977. She then continued her studies at the University of West Los Angeles, where she completed a B.A. in 1978. She also received a J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 1983.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Harman was as a deputy district attorney for eighteen years. She first served in the Office of the District Attorney of Riverside County. Then, in 1992, she transferred to the Office of the District Attorney of San Luis Obispo County.
Harman has served as a director of the Alliance of California Judges.
