The Hon. Diane Costanzo is a judge for the Queens County Family Court in the Eleventh Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to the Family Court bench by Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2015, and subsequently received a reappointment to the post from Mayor de Blasio later that same year.
Judge Costanzo received her bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University. She went on to earn her J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America.
Prior to her appointment to the Family Court, Costanzo was serving as a principal court attorney for the Hon. Patricia Henry in the Integrated Domestic Violence Part of the Kings County Supreme Court. She also served as a court referee for the Family Court of the City of New York for four and a half years and was the executive assistant to the Administrative Judge of the Family Court.
Before joining the courts, Costanzo worked as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Division and as an assistant department advocate for the New York City Police Department.
Judge Costanzo has served as a member of the Family Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
