Hon. Stacy M. Ross is a judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Broward County. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2013, filling the vacancy created by the passing of the Hon. Susan J. Aramony (deceased).
Ross has held an assignment in the Juvenile Delinquency Division. Prior to her appointment, she was a judge for the Broward County Court since 2005.
She received a B.A. from the University of Florida in 1993. Ross then completed a J.D. at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, in 1997. As a law student, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. Barry Seltzer, United States Magistrate of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, in 1995 and interned for the Office of the State Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit in 1997.
After graduating from law school, Ross joined the State Attorney's Office full-time, where she worked as an assistant state attorney for seven years. Over the course of her tenure there, she served as a sexual battery and county court prosecutor and also held assignments in the Juvenile Unit and the Felony Trial Unit, of which she served as supervisor. Ross remained with the State Attorney's Office until beginning her judicial career in 2005.
Her father, the Hon. Dale Ross (Ret.), also served as a judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court until retiring from the bench in 2016.
